MagicMobility Crowdfunding Kickoff Campaign
At Special Kids Fund MagicMobility we feel very blessed to have been able to help so many deserving individuals
and their families with a van donation. We are committed to doing more, as the demand for donated vans far outstrips
the supply. This year, in order to help more people, we have decided to turn to crowd-funding to raise supplemental funds,
$5,000-20,000, to help make possible the purchase or refurbishing of more vans.
This is open to those who have other sources of funding, but need that extra bit to supplement what they are eligible for, and make the purchase.
Some may have Veteran's funding or State funding available. Perhaps you can afford a partial car loan or have other sources to pay a portion of the cost.
We also seek donated used vans in need of minor refurbishing, provided by dealers who will need reimbursement for the outlay.
Successful crowd-funding campaigns rely on many small donations from a large pool of donors.
Participants will need a network of potential donors, such as, a social media presence and a willingness to enlist their social media contacts to participate in their campaigns to raise funds for their own mobility van. Your contacts' "participation" can be as simple as giving your campaign posting a "Like" on Facebook, or a retweet on Twitter, with the ultimate goal of reaching as many potential donors as possible. Of course, the more your contact get involved, via social networking, clubs, groups, friends and family; the more you will be able to raise.
Besides helping your reach out to your own social network, we will be promoting your fundraising campaign to our national network of mobility and disability organization partners, ensuring as wide a reach as possible.
If you would like to participate with our crowd-funding venture, you must also commit to working with our staff to help maximize your efforts in raising the funds for your wheelchair accessible van,
which includes providing us with photos and videos of your family, and being willing to talk with your friends, family and local media to advertise your campaign.
